Weber 40 IDF Carburettor Insulator Spacer / Phenolic Spacer

Phenolic spacer to suit Weber 40 IDF carburettors

These spacers reduce heat transfer into the carburettor body. This reduces the temperature of the fuel which in turn will improve power output.

They also reduce the potential for the fuel to boil in the float bowls and spill onto the throttle butterflies causing starting issues.

Compatible Vehicles:

• Volkswagen (Air-Cooled): VW Beetle, Type 1, Type 3, and VW Buses/Transporters fitted with dual Weber 40 IDF conversion kits and aftermarket intake manifolds.
• Porsche: Porsche 356 (1950–1965), Porsche 912 / 912E (1965–1976), and Porsche 914 (1970–1976) upgraded with IDF conversion/insulator kits.
• Fiat: Fiat 124 Spider, Sport Coupe, and Spider 2000 (1.8L and 2.0L twin-cam), plus Fiat 131.
• Alfa Romeo: Alfa Romeo Alfasud (Ti / Sprint) and Alfa 33 models equipped with Weber 40 IDF setups.
• Other Custom/Classic Applications: Rover V8 or Lamborghini V8 multi-carb setups and various tuned classic European sports cars utilizing 40mm Weber IDF down-draught manifolds.
